Honest! Its summer in the UK
A lot of people get confused during the summer months in the UK by the obvious lack of the sun and the constant rain and low temperature. It definitely looks and feels like autumn to me, even though its August. Meanwhile, in places like New York, Chicago and New Jersey, residents and holidaymaker are hoping for a dip in the high temperature. May I take this opportunity to invite all of them to the UK, for a UK-styled summer!!!!! Phew!!!!!!

My breakfast experiences contd.
Ok, so we all know that British weather is unpredictable, but what we are now experiencing is beyond believe. All of a sudden we are experiencing autumn-like weather right in the middle of what should be a glorious summer time................Anyway, back to the main gist. Ikea restaurant makes no boast about it customer service but even with this in mind, eating in Ikea is a joy. Granted you have to carry your own tray and pack up after you finish eating, but at the price you pay for the food this is understandable. So a few days ago, I had a fantastic English breakfast at Ikea Lakeside, Essex. The meal consisted of beans, scrambled egg, sausage and bacon all for just £1.39 (99p if you have an IKEA family card), although it doesn't come with toast you can purchase a bun (wholemeal or white) for just 40p plus you also get a free cup of coffee or tea with your meal if you have an IKEA family card (free to apply for instore). I half expected the breakfast to be passable especially at that cost, but was I in for a surprise!
The breakfast was great, nothing negative about it. Can I also mention that the restaurant was squeaky clean despite the large number of customers. M&S restaurant Lakeside, Essex sure has a lot to learn from these people (read my earlier blog on my breakfast experience @ M&S.

Breakfast at Spread Deli, Lakeside shopping centre, Essex
A few days ago, I shared my breakfast experience at Marks and Spencer's restaurant in Lakeside shopping mall, Essex and promised to update you on another visit to Spread which is just right beside M&S restaurant. In comparison to M&S breakfast, Spread breakfast is superb. I had the big breakfast which consisted of 1egg, 2 slices of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 slice of toast (brown or white depending on preference), chips and a cup of tea. I requested for an extra slice of toast instead of the chips (I am not a fan of chips especially in the morning) and as usual requested that my egg should be very well done.
The egg (unlike M&S) was very well done and very tasty, the bread was just right and everything else was fantastic. The customer service was excellent as well and the restaurant was very clean + at only £4.20 the cost is £1.75 cheaper than that at M&S (which as I said in my earlier blog was "rubbish".
If you fancy a bigger breakfast you can go for the ranchers breakfast which includes an extra sausage, beans tomato e.t.c Spread therefore is a much better option if you are looking for an excellent breakfast option. My next blog will be on my experience at Las Iguana and Ikea restaurant in Lakeside. Be on the look out!!!
